You can work with third parties to refer clients to you for SIY programs. For example, you might work with a training company and provide an SIY program for their client. As the SIY Certified Teacher, you are responsible for delivering the program and adhering to all policies in the SIY Teacher Agreement.
Note that third parties do not have a right to advertise or sell the SIY program. At the moment we do not have a provision for third parties to re-sell SIY; the only "distributors" of SIY are the Certified Teachers and SIYLI. The one exception is SAP-- they have Certified Teachers who work with clients outside of SAP.
To work with a referral partner, you could create a flyer or piece of collateral they can share with your information on it (along with a description of SIY), and if they get an interested client, refer them to you to make the sale, at a commission (you could decide what commission; SIYLI typically offers between 5% and 15%, depending on how "warm" the lead is).
The same pricing guidelines apply around what the company pays--so no company should get a price lower than the minimum pricing. When working with a third party, you will owe SIYLI a licensing fee based on your contracted amount. For example, if you are working with a third party (Company B) to provide an SIY program to their client (Company A):
- Will you hold the contract with Company A? In this case, make sure that any referral fee you owe to Company B and and the 25% licensing fee to SIYLI are both built into the price to Company A.
- Or will your contract be with the third party Company B? In which case, they can add an additional finder fee when they charge Company A. You would owe SIYLI licensing fees based on your contract with Company B.
