How should I contract with a client for an SIY program?
You will contract directly with your client. Some clients have a contracting process that you’ll need to use, and for others you’ll need to provide a contract. You are free to use any contract, though we do provide a contract template for you to use and customize to your needs.
As a reminder, once the program details are finalized, you will need to fill out the Program Information Form
Should I pay travel expenses out of the in-company price?
This depends on your contract with your client. SIYLI has clients reimburse directly for travel expenses (e.g. airfare, hotel, meals), but includes any travel time reimbursement (the $750 USD per travel day rate that SIYLI pays teachers) as part of the program price. Occasionally, the client will want one all-in fee for everything including expenses, so we'll increase the program fee to include an estimate of travel expenses.
